CHANEL FALL 2018 COUTURE
Along the Seine in the Grand Palais
Every Chanel show is a real surprise. Fiction Karl Lagerfeld turned the Grand Palais into a cosmodrome, a supermarket, Greek ruins, a boulevard, the North Pole with real ice blocks, a tropical island with waterfalls, an autumn garden. This time the palace turned into an atmospheric Seine embankment with second-hand ruin. The models were flanked in tweed suits with cuts on the sides and stacked dresses. There was a place not only embroidered with rhinestones and feathers evening dresses, but also quite functional things for every day.
Adut Akech closed the show in a gently mint wedding dress with silk embroidery, she is a British model of Ghanaian origin and activist of the feminist movement. The veil and ankle boots were in line with the main side.
