Calvin Klein Spring-Summer 2018
"American horror, American dreams," Raf Simons defined his second collection for Calvin Klein, "where there's darkness there's always light." The ease he showed with the silhouettes of the 1950s (a little American classic pin up) was based on cutting-edge materials, even waterproof nylon, which is mostly used for tents, went into the course.
Inspiration and support points for work on the collection were the canvases of Andy Warhol, Dennis Hopper's film "Easy Rider" and a portrait of Sandra Brandt, written in 1971. The collection mixed horror films (classic thriller "Carrie", drama "The Child Rosemary") and teens from school discos, cheerleading girls and modern cowboys.

Simons said that he was drawn to television series, and his immediate sympathy and devotion on the side of the "Game of Thrones". The designer believes that the media have more freedom now than ever and regret that this very freedom of expression is so lacking in the fashion industry. "Fashion," he said, "has exceeded the expectations of the audience far too much." By the way, the artist helped Sterling Ruby to work on the show. He hung the metallic silver and purple structures to catch even more horror at the visitors of the Calvin Klein show spring-summer 2018.
